We are looking for an IT professional to join the Community Services I&IT Cluster's Project Management Office to lead initiatives and provide services related to project control activities, work with project managers and their teams to help ensure effective risk management, delivery of high-quality solutions for the Cluster's clients, and curate and report on a large body of project-related data through Planview, our enterprise project and portfolio management system.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:

• manage internal stakeholder relationships while partnering with project managers, their teams and cluster management
• design, develop, implement and maintain a range of project management office services including cost estimation, gating reviews, risk management, change management and other emerging topics for Project Managers and the Cluster's senior leadership team
• support the development and management of integrated project management and status reports, identify project variances, risks and interdependencies, resource usage trend analysis across the portfolio of cluster projects
• support and coordinate the integrated development of I&IT project, operational and fiscal plans by identifying resource requirements based on IT project deliverables
• lead and coordinate the tracking and progress of projects within Planview, the enterprise project and portfolio management system

How do I qualify?

Project management knowledge and experience:

You have:
• demonstrated project management experience managing all phases of IT projects, knowledge of project management theory, methodologies, techniques related to all phases of an IT project lifecycle (e.g. PMI/PMBOK, SDLC, UPM, ITIL, Agile/Waterfall etc.), to lead and manage end-to-end IT projects
• experience developing an integrated project plan and managing activities/resources throughout the project life
• experience using and supporting portfolio and project management systems, preferably Planview PPM
• experience in project control of a complex portfolio of projects and programs, overseeing and supporting projects throughout their lifecycle

Technical knowledge and experience:

• You have knowledge of project-relevant state of the art multi-platform IT technology, IT technology development, implementation and operations management.
• You have experience managing I&IT projects across a wide range of enterprise based systems, platforms and technologies, with an understanding of areas of expertise associated with contributing project roles.
• You have demonstrated technical skills and understanding of the advances in technology to provide technical expertise and team leadership.
• You have an understanding of financial management to develop and manage project budgets.
• You have procurement knowledge to support policies and practices of software solutions, hardware and services.

Relationship management and communication skills:

• You have demonstrated consultation, negotiation and mediation skills to communicate project deliverables, resolve conflicts and develop and sustain effective working relationships.
• You have demonstrated written and verbal communication skills to design develop and deliver presentations, prepare proposals and business cases.
• You can provide specialized advice and expertise to client groups on the use and cost-benefits of information technology in business planning, and provide expertise for the development of business cases.

Technical leadership skills:

• You have demonstrated experience leading I&IT projects and in providing leadership for technical project teams.
• You have experience in day-to-day management of technical resources to complete projects on time, scope and budget.

Organizational and problem solving skills:

• You have demonstrated experience evaluating and defining project management requirements, identifying options and making recommendations.
• You have demonstrated experience identifying, monitoring and managing risks and issues through to resolution or mitigation.
• You understand change management principles and techniques to facilitate business process change.
