AGCO is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join the Information & Information Technology Division's Digital Platforms & Cybersecurity Branch.
What can I expect to do in this role?
Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure and Operations, the Infrastructure Specialist will:- Monitor, support, and improve the AGCO's technology infrastructure and services such as Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, database, and applications
- Monitor and proactively enhance the availability and performance of applications, services, and hardware including cloud, SAN, LAN, WAN and WLAN
- Respond to and resolve application, hardware, and security events
- Automate processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Monitor, test, and improve the backup and recovery operations
- Document and develop standard operating procedures for internally and service provider managed systems
- Participate in rotational on-call duty and perform maintenance work outside of normal business hours
- Contribute or lead infrastructure related projects
- Travel to remote sites throughout Ontario as required
How do I qualify?
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated working experience and knowledge in
- Windows Servers and related services including AD, GPO, DHCP, DNS, Hyper-V, Microsoft System Center, Microsoft 365, and McAfee ePO
- Cloud foundational components such as identity and access management (IAM), software defined networking, security, governance, and compliance
- LAN/WAN technology and protocols, including routers, switches, firewalls, and proxy servers.
- Blade servers, SAN, and Fiber Channel switches
- Proven scripting experience for automating repetitive manual operations
- Technical experience in a major public cloud platform using Infrastructure-as-Code, with Microsoft Azure experience being a plus
- Understanding of cloud automation, orchestration, and monitoring tools and techniques
- Solid understanding of product management, agile principles, and development methodologies
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff
- Flexible self-starter with ability to reprioritize work to adjust to needs of the team
- Creative thinker with strong troubleshooting skills
- Sense of urgency for resolving issues
- Ability to provide support on a flexible schedule when needed
- Current certification in related technologies would be a definite asset
- Valid G driver's license with a clean driver abstract
