What can I expect to do in this role?

As a Senior Developer, you will:

• provide team leadership in the design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement to system architectures (technical, data, application, network) for both acquired and developed application solutions
• lead system integration, including designing appropriate architectures and selecting cost-effective and high-performance tools and middleware
• provide technical leadership for the development or implementation of computerized solutions to support end users, project teams, and peer technical staff
• draft technical requirements, prepare detailed technical solution design, develop, test, deploy and support JEE based applications COTS products and solutions and case management solutions (like salesforce applications in cloud as PaaS)
• review code and document the software process flows, business logic, code dependencies, etc.
• develop web-based applications including front end user interface and backend application logic and create new web services and orchestrate multiple atomic web services to build complex web service operations
• prepare automated deployment build and test scripts in a DevOps environment for Development, UAT and Production environments
• assist in metadata/test data creation and maintenance, and prepare data packages for implementation by the Database Administrator
• support the testing team during system and UAT testing and Provide application support in production, including participation in on-call rotation
• plan for implementation of computer installations, co-ordinate the research, and evaluation of technology
• recommend and direct the measurement and improvement of tools, techniques, and standards and performance criteria to control the quality of system development initiatives
• ensure adherence to standards of all IT components of business solutions for cost-effectiveness, support strategies, and performance issues
• lead the analysis of existing technology to recommend areas of improvement and/or new developments

How do I qualify?

I&IT Technical Experience:

You have:
• advanced knowledge of current information technology principles, computer programming techniques, current development platforms, software development life cycle (SDLC)
• experience in building SOAP based and RESTFUL web services
• experience in developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
• experience working with Identity Access Management solutions
• a thorough understanding of system architectures, including technical, data, application architectures, systems development and integration such as writing build scripts working with source control and version controls systems such as (Git and Azure DevOps Services, Ant, Maven and Jenkins etc.)
• knowledge of programming techniques, including experience working with complex case management solutions involving common case management functionalities such as workflow, routing rules, queuing and programming of business logic in procedures and notification modules.
• knowledge of software build cycles, code deployment, software architecture, application programming, database management and system design
• experience with development tools like VSCode
• experience with application security for highly sensitive applications
• experience in building foundation portal components such as cache modules, experience in IIS (Server) and Azure web server IIS and Azure container apps.

Development Knowledge

You have:
• knowledge of current development tools/languages, including Java Script and Java Framework like React, Angular and Vne.
• advanced knowledge of development tools/languages/technologies such as; JSF 2.2, Primefaces, Angular, Bootstrap, jQuery, JSHint and Spring boot, JSON/JSON, server, Unix, J2EE, EJB, Java Swing, and JUnit with respect to building transactional portals
• knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) patterns and concepts.
• knowledge of the concepts of Model-View-Controller (MVC) pattern, Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) and ORM.
• experience building enterprise applications on Salesforce that is hosted in cloud
• experience with Salesforce declarative systems – managing fields, objects, actions, sharing rules, profiles, permission sets, processes, flows, workflows, validation Rules etc.
• expertise in writing code in Apex, Visualforce and Lightning Web Components (Aura & Web) per Salesforce best practices.
• experience building custom plugins and integration of third-party services .
• expertise with relational database languages - SQL or SOQL

Negotiation, Interpersonal, and Client Relationship Skills

• You can discuss client I&IT program/service delivery needs, requirements, goals, objectives and priorities.
• You can lead and conduct feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis for proposed client I&IT initiatives.
• You have research skills to attend trade shows and review technical manuals to maintain current in the rapidly changing technology environment.
• You can facilitate technical discussions with vendors, customers, and other technical staff.
• You have proven oral and written communication and listening skills

Reasoning, Analytical, and Problem Solving Skills

• You can assess and recommend architectural strategies for acquisition, development, integration, and implementation of complex technical solutions.
• You can assess technical design problems and develop computerized solutions to information problems in support of end users.
• You can diagnose and resolve problems impacting the information technology infrastructure and operational problems with software.
• You have analytical skills to identify current microcomputer and mainframe software requirements for clients with highly technical requirements and provide solutions.
