The Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement is seeking Junior Project Managers to join the dynamic team at IT Source. In this role, you will be pivotal in coordinating and executing both business and technology projects. You will oversee project processes, ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes, and provide essential support to project teams. As you move from project to project, your assignments through IT Source will vary in length and will be located in a variety of ministry client site locations throughout the GTA and Oshawa.

As a Junior Project Manager, you'll serve as a vital liaison between team members and stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and problem-solving. You'll maintain documentation, track progress, manage processes, and support project goals.
In this role, you will:
• Provide the project team and ministry partners with project management, administrative support, and coordination of activities to ensure the completion and management of all required aspects of the project.
• Gather and refine requirements to establish detailed project schedules and/or integrated plans.
• Coordinate task allocation, monitor progress, and manage deadlines to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
• Manage project risks, issue status updates, and provide ongoing technical advice to clients, while also tracking project progress and identifying potential risks or issues.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and assist in planning, development, and preparation of documents and submissions.
• Act as a liaison between team members, stakeholders, and management to ensure effective communication.
What you bring to the team
Project Management Knowledge:
• You have applied knowledge of project management methodology, techniques, administration and control methods.
• You have demonstrated knowledge of techniques, tools, current software and project life cycle methodologies.
• You have knowledge of project budgeting to effectively plan, organize and coordinate resources to achieve project objectives.
• You have expertise to identify roadblocks or constraints in essential project activities such as planning, scheduling, resource management, and cost estimation.
• You have proficiency in creating reports, preparing and disseminating project updates, identifying risks/issues, and offering recommendations to alleviate obstacles.
Technical Skills:
• You have demonstrated skills in managing software/technical projects and effectively overseeing critical milestones to achieve project outcomes.
• You have the ability to understand and apply standards and policies to assist and support I&IT projects and project components.
• You have operational planning and development skills to monitor operational project management policies and procedures.
• You have proficiency in using computer applications such as MS Office Suite, Asana, or Trello for project scheduling and collaboration tasks.
Other Essential Skills:
• You possess proficiency in written communication techniques to prepare/support a wide variety of materials, including submissions, draft project plans and draft operational policies.
• You have verbal communication and consultation skills to enable understanding and cooperation.
• You have analytical and problem-solving skills to recommend project management requirements and identify administrative options.
• You have analytical skills to conduct assessments and determine requirements.
