What can I expect to do in this role?
As a customer service provider and member of the program delivery team, you will:
• respond to telephone calls
• provide general information on program requirements to callers
• process mail
• maintain filing systems and fully utilize database information to process forms and documents
How do I qualify?
Mandatory
• You must be proficient in English and advanced level oral French.
Customer Service and Communication Skills
• You have proven customer service skills to effectively deal with a high volume of clients with disabilities, in person and by telephone contact
• You are able to understand and apply the regulations, policies, and guidelines governing the ODSP in order to respond to enquiries in a timely and accurate manner
• You are aware of and sensitive to various client disabilities
• You have oral communication skills to provide responses to program information requests from clients and colleagues
• You have written communication skills to respond to client enquires, and update reports
• You demonstrate interpersonal and listening skills to elicit information and support team members
Office Administration and Computer Skills
• You demonstrate knowledge of general office procedures, practices and routine office equipment
• You are able to work in a fully automated environment using online databases to input/access client information
• You can use software such as Word, Excel and email to produce reports, forms and letters
Planning and Organizational Skills
• You are able to organize and coordinate workflow, assess priorities and meet deadlines
• You can work effectively in a team and with autonomy
