Make a lasting contribution to a landmark event - get in the game!

The 2015 Pan and Parapan American Games take place in the summer of 2015 in Toronto and surrounding communities. The Games will involve over 10,000 athletes and coaches from the Caribbean and the Americas. To ensure a safe, efficient transportation network, MTO will co-lead with TO2015 a multi-party group that will develop and deliver a multi-faceted transportation plan.

What can I expect to do in this role?

As Director, Transportation, Pan/Parapan Am Games, and working closely Ontario's Pan Am Games Secretariat and with the TO2015 organizing committee, you will:

• Lead and develop policy and plans for transportation management and coordination of transportation services for the Games;
• Develop effective governance structures, strong relationships and consultation strategies with a range of senior public and private sector leaders and key partners;
• Work with parties to ensure critical transportation related infrastructure projects are delivered as committed;
• Establish and implement communication protocols and transportation public awareness materials in conjunction with key partners and;
• Develop an effective plan for a transportation Operations Centre that will ensure coordinated transportation services for all 50 Games venues among the 17 participating municipalities.

The ideal candidate for this position is a seasoned leader with experience leading a multi-faceted and high-profile initiative in a complex environment. You must also possess outstanding problem solving and stakeholder management skills.
