Consider this role with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities where you will work within the Student Financial Assistance Branch and liaise with a variety of stakeholders including head office staff and the region's management team.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role you will support Ontario students by processing funds and payments under the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). You will:

• review and process student loan claims
• provide general information about the program to clients
• process invoices and cancelled cheques
• prepare written responses to program issues
• use a financial information system to track and gather information
• maintain contact with program partners

How do I qualify?

Technical knowledge:

• You have knowledge of financial and accounting procedures, practices and processes.
• You are able to use computers including financial information systems, word processing, database and spreadsheet software and the internet

People skills:

• You have effective communication, interpersonal and customer service skills and are able to interact with clients with tact and courtesy.
• You can work independently and in a team.

Analytical and organizational skills:

• You are able to research and analyze information and solve problems
• You are organized and are able to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
