Do you have experience in policy research and analysis and want to contribute to the future direction of the Office of Francophone Affairs(OFA) programs and initiatives?
If so, then consider this exciting opportunity where you will provide senior policy and strategic support related to the government's French language services.
What can I expect to do in this role?
• provide expert advice and guidance on policy issues
• perform highly complex and sensitive corporate policy research and assessment
• lead and coordinate policy and program development projects and formulation of strategic plans
• carry out risk and cost-benefit analyses and ensure alignment of proposed policy with the corporate agenda and priorities for French language services
• work with the OFA staff to resolve key issues
• oversee preparation of materials, and work with stakeholders
How do I qualify?
Mandatory:
• Proficiency in English as well as superior level oral and written French
Knowledge:
• You have demonstrated knowledge of the Francophone community, issues affecting it and impact of government directions
• You have the ability to interpret and apply legislation, policies and procedures ( e.g.: French Language Services Act)
Policy Research and Analysis Skills:
• You have demonstrated experience conducting research, policy analysis, policy development and associated risk and impact analysis
Other Essential Skills:
• You have demonstrated experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research
• You have analytical, resolution, consultation, advisory, negotiation and relationship building skills
• You have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
