What can I expect to do in this role?
In this role, you will:
• identify and analyze client business needs
• conduct feasibility studies including cost and benefit analysis, assess possible integration with other business systems
• prepare use cases, process and data models to support new and re-engineered process and information needs
• provide consultation to clients in the development and implementation of business applications and processes
• provide technical guidance to staff and coordinate the design, development, testing of systems applications
How do I qualify?
Systems Design Knowledge:
• you have knowledge of systems design, development, methodology and techniques to conduct business systems development projects
• you have knowledge of business process and data analysis/modelling, process and data models
• you know project management to support systems design, development, methodology and techniques
Analytical Knowledge and Skills:
• you know how to analyze system requirements to conduct feasibility studies, investigate and recommend alternative business system solutions
• you can identify and assess areas for system improvements and conduct evaluations of new software applications
• you have evaluative and conceptual skills to evaluate current systems processes, develop and enhance system design, application tools and techniques
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
• you can explain technical solutions to non-technical clients and staff and make presentations to clients and program management
• you can capture requirements and prepare detailed, complex reports on project findings
• you can present and discuss benefits and risks of proposals on business systems applications and solutions to encourage support for recommended approach
