Join the Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership Corporation (OTMPC) in this exciting opportunity to conduct research, analysis and monitoring of new trends to develop marketing programs and influence the economic development of the tourism industry.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:
• plan and conduct a wide variety of quantitative and qualitative research and statistical analyses
• plan overall design of the data collection process to retrieve, consolidate and carry out extensive statistical analysis
• collect and monitor data and trends required for OTMPC's Balanced Score Card
• monitor trends (e.g. social, economic, tourism, consumer behavior, media consumption etc.), analyze and interpret data with regard to tourism provincially, nationally and internationally
• prepare clear, concise reports on research findings. Summarize major findings and prepare briefings material and background information for corporate and industry communications materials
• act as the resource on statistical studies and data for the tourism industry

Economic, Marketing, Research and Statistical Analysis Knowledge:
• you can apply economic, marketing, research and statistical analysis theories, principles and practices
• you understand qualitative and quantitative research methods
• you have knowledge of research design and modelling to design data collection and evaluation criteria

Project Planning, Research Design and Leadership Skills:
• you can plan research projects and oversee in-house management of projects and external service contracts
• you can apply procurement and contract management directives to ensure high quality and timely delivery of all research projects

Communication, Interpersonal and Computer Skills:
• you can prepare research findings, briefing materials and background information for corporate and industry communication materials
• you have computer and software skills for statistical analysis, data retrieval, spreadsheets to utilize database and programs for research and analytical responsibilities
• you can act as a liaison with OTMPC and Ministry contacts to respond to data inquiries
