What can I expect to do in this role?

As Project Coordinator, you will:

• provide project leadership to small projects supporting OPS I&IT initiatives
• provide project and technical delivery to project managers and project teams, supporting medium to large scale OPS I&IT initiatives, including: coordinating project teams, monitoring and forecasting costs, risk and issue management and customer relationship management

Please note: This position is located at 222 Jarvis Street, Toronto.

How do I qualify?

Project Management Knowledge and Experience:

• you demonstrate the ability to lead all phases (concept, definition, planning, implementation, and closeout) of small, routine I&IT projects, or to provide support to Senior Project Managers for medium to large scale I&IT projects
• you have experience planning, scheduling, tracking and managing project plans
• you are able to develop and maintain a detailed and resource loaded project schedule with predecessors.
• you have knowledge of PMI and project management methodologies, standards, and best practices
• you have knowledge of the service management framework based on ITIL
• you have knowledge and experience with standard project management tools, including MS Project

Technical Knowledge:

• you have knowledge of I&IT technologies and industry trends to support project deliverables
• you have knowledge of systems design methodology to enable sound project administration
• you are able to plan and coordinate business systems solution testing and implementation

Communication Skills:

• you have excellent interpersonal, negotiation, collaboration, oral and written communication skills to support project deliverables
• you demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain effective client relationships, and to support Senior Project Managers
• you have experience analyzing and communicating the impacts of risks to the project, direct partners, stakeholders, customers and staff in order to facilitate effective decision making

Organizational and Problem Solving Skills:

• you have experience identifying and making recommendations on inherent and developing project risks and issues
• you demonstrate procurement skills to support the acquisition of software solutions, hardware and services
• you have proven skills in financial and controllership management to administer, prepare, monitor project budgets and identify activities required to meet financial targets
• you demonstrate experience monitoring projected versus actual project expenditures and reports on project progress/status in comparison to project burn rate

Leadership Skills:

• you are able to provide technical supervision, guidance and consultation to assigned project personnel
• you demonstrate leadership skills to plan, organize and coordinate human, financial and material resources
