What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:
-lead/coordinate the development of legislation, regulations and policies related to Crown land management;
-provide expert advice and support to staff and government as to the identification and resolution of land management issues;
-communicate and promote the objectives, principles and strategies of the land management program so that they are understood, accepted and supported.

How do I qualify?

Technical knowledge:

• you have comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of Crown land management and associated policy framework;
• you know how to interpret provincial and federal land management legislation, regulations, and policies;
• you have comprehensive knowledge of government decision-making and policy development processes.

Organizational, project management and leadership skills:

• you know project management techniques;
• you can plan and manage multiple projects;
• you have experience leading project teams.

Research, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

• you can use your analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct research, collect data, and analyze land management issues;
• you can provide evidence-based policy advice, options and recommendations.

Communication, People and Computer Skills

• you can use your communication skills to develop relationships and build consensus;
• you can present technical information to a variety of audiences;
• you convey information in a clear and concise manner;
• you know how to use office computer software (e.g. MS Office);
