Our mandate is to enable effective stewardship of the Public's information assets through informed risk management facilitating the secure delivery of Ontario Government services and programs. As part of the Threat Risk Management team, you will apply your security expertise across the Ontario Government to ensure appropriate security controls are integrated into IT systems and infrastructures.

What can I expect to do in this role?

Playing a lead facilitator role in Threat Risk Assessments (TRA) and Business Impact Assessments (BIA), you will:

• provide expertise and advice on threat risk assessments and business impact assessments
• provide expertise on the coordination, development, improvement and implementation of the I&IT corporate security risk management program and on risk mitigation strategies
• lead and facilitate TRA and BIA workshops for complex enterprise wide I&T systems
• provide input on strategic policy and standard development
• research, identify and offer suggestions to address and resolve issues with a focus on client service and best practices
• participate on and lead threat risk assessment projects

How do I qualify?

Technical Knowledge and Skills

• you have demonstrated expertise in I&IT security with specialized expertise in enterprise risk management
• you have knowledge of related methodologies, vulnerabilities and the risk management life cycle
• you have expert knowledge of and experience with threat risk assessment, business impact assessments and security architecture
• you have knowledge of emerging I&IT security trends, best practices and developments to evaluate products and tools and make recommendations
• you have knowledge of policy and standards development to participate in the development of corporate security policies, standards and techniques

Project Management Skills

• you have strong project management skills

Analytical, Judgement and Problem Solving Skills

• you have demonstrated the ability to provide leading edge advice, analysis and support on complex I&IT issues
• you have strong analytical skills with the ability to identify security exposures across multiple security domains

Communication, Consultation and Relationship Building Skills

• you have strong consultation and client service skills to provide leadership and guidance on security matters and promote enterprise wide initiatives
• you can develop and maintain collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues
• you have strong communication skills with the ability to prepare reports and present material clearly
