Are you looking for a unique opportunity to demonstrate your pavement management, evaluation and design expertise? If so, consider bringing your talent to our multi-disciplinary team.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this challenging position, you will:

• prepare recommendations regarding the planning, design, construction and maintenance of highway facilities
• supervise engineering service provider assignments
• carry out on-site investigations and prepare reports
• analyse and evaluate field and laboratory test data
• provide technical information and advice to staff, service providers, stakeholders and special interest groups
• evaluate pavement conditions and develop maintenance/rehabilitation strategies

Please note: fieldwork and occasional overnight travel is a requirement of this position.

How do I qualify?

Mandatory

• You have a valid driver's licence to travel throughout the region.

Technical knowledge:

• You have demonstrated knowledge of geotechnical engineering materials.
• You have knowledge of the principles and practices of soils and pavement evaluation, investigation, testing and design as well as highway construction and maintenance practices.
• You are proficient with computers and software such as word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software.

Other relevant skills:

• You have well developed research, analytical and problem solving skills.
• You have good planning and organizational skills to meet work schedules and due dates.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to discuss, advise, and present information.
• You have experience working with contractors.
