Are you a seasoned collaborative leader who has experience developing strong stakeholder relationships and providing contract management? Consider this exciting opportunity as the Manager, Vendor and Service Delivery Relations in the Exceptional Access Program Branch (EAPB) at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.

The Exceptional Access Program Branch (EAPB) is responsible for assessing requests for drugs not listed on the provincial formulary from physicians on behalf of their patients, as well as managing contracts related to the administration of its programs including Trillium Drug Program and Senior Co-payment Program.

What can I expect to do in this role?

Reporting to the Director, Exceptional Access Program Branch, you will provide management and leadership of:

• Contract management, including the establishment and strengthening of relationships and accountabilities with external vendors as well as internal service providers (Health Services Cluster, Ontario Shared Services).
• Issues management, including stakeholder outreach/education and client service as well as program analysis and improvements.
• Financial and operational management reporting and oversight to branch processes and systems.

How do I qualify?

Leadership

• You are an experienced leader who can set and communicate organizational goals to inspire a team of professionals to deliver results.
• You have experience with building relationships with staff, developing capacity and motivating them to deliver.
• You are a team player who engages your colleagues across the ministry and the OPS to support initiatives that focus on broad government objectives in health care.

Knowledge

• You have in-depth knowledge of contract management and related processes in order to assess, negotiate and manage contracts, including financial management and reporting on contracts.
• You have experience leading complex projects as well as Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) and are familiar with related tools, methodologies and principles.
• You have general knowledge of Information Technology (IT), specifically business analysis aspects such as establishing user requirements and translating them to IT specialists.
• You have general knowledge of drug programs and related legislation as well as current issues and trends in Ontario.

Stakeholder and Relationship Management

• You have demonstrated stakeholder management skills and the ability to build, foster and maintain strategic and collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders who have diverse agendas.
• You use effective communication, negotiation and conflict management skills to build credibility with colleagues, partners, stakeholders and senior leaders.
• You have experience dealing with highly visible, complex and politically sensitive issues.
