Are you highly analytical with expertise in highway contract tendering? If so, consider this exciting opportunity with the Contract Management Office to lead the tendering of over 2 billion dollars annually of highway improvement contracts!

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role you will:
• supervise and lead the contract tendering process for the Ministry in compliance with related policy, standards and procedures
• provide authoritative advice and guidance on contract tendering
• participate in the Section/Contract Management Office planning, decision making, change, review and problem solving

How do I qualify?

Technical Knowledge:

• You have comprehensive expertise in contract tendering that allows you to effectively oversee the processing of tender documents to ensure quality products.
• You have knowledge of the principles and applications of technology related to highway contracts (e.g. civil, electrical, structural and architectural) and materials, testing, practices, standards and trends to provide effective technical supervision and leadership.

Skills:

• You have attention to detail, analytical, evaluation and problem solving skills to ensure integrity of tender document formats/processes and make authoritative recommendations.
• You have relationship management skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• You have oral and written communication skills to prepare policies, correspondence and reports, provide authoritative interpretations and advice, and make presentations.
• You have demonstrated supervisory and administrative skills to provide effective and efficient leadership for tendering staff.
• You have work planning and prioritizing skills to achieve critical deadlines.
