The Ministry of Transportation, Property Section in North Bay has an opportunity for you to join their dynamic team of professionals providing clerical assistance in support of management, leasing, taxation and disposal activities related to ministry owned lands.

What can I expect to do in this role?

Working in a legal environment, you will:

• maintain land management files, including monitoring property status
• review agreements, contact tenants and record maintenance
• prepare letters, memos and forms in response to inquiries
• maintain accurate tax information
• maintain an electronic land inventory data system

How do I qualify?

Communication and interpersonal skills:

• demonstrated communication skills to clearly explain procedures and prepare letters, forms, memorandums, various legal and other documents related to disposal, leasing and demolition activities
• interpersonal skills to respond to telephone and visitor inquiries

Investigative and analytical skills:

• strong investigative, analytical and evaluative skills to research and review legal agreements, plans, ministry records and take appropriate action

Technical knowledge:

• ability to interpret and apply policies, legislation, legal agreements and survey plans related to the disposal, leasing, property taxation/assessment, demolition/removal and acquisition of lands
• knowledge of real estate sales and leasing practices

Organizational and time management skills:

• organizational, time management and coordination skills to effectively plan land management activities and ensure deadlines are achieved

Computer skills:

• knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications to produce documents, forms and reports.
