The Benefits Transformation (Service Delivery) initiative is mandated to consolidate and continue to improve the current system of benefits delivery in the Province. Consider this challenging opportunity to play a key role in the development of an enterprise-wide approach to achieve cost-efficiencies and improved client outcomes.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:

- Provide analytical support on a range of transformation initiatives including streamlining income-based benefits delivery and simplifying access to program information
- Conduct research and analysis of benefit delivery current business practices, possible improvements and cost impacts of changes
- Participate in multi-partner projects, initiatives and committees
- Support the development of options and evaluation of alternatives to ensure alignment with strategic direction
- Prepare briefing material for senior management on long-term and current issues

How do I qualify?

Technical Expertise and Computer Skills:

- You have demonstrated ability to solve policy, business or public program administration problems
- You are skilled at performing economic, business or policy analysis
- You have demonstrated ability to conduct analysis using software such as Excel and prepare presentation materials that include charts and graphs
- You are proficient in using Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Analytical, Research and Problem Solving

- You can evaluate problems and conduct research and analysis to find appropriate solutions using a variety of analytical tools
- You can make evidence based recommendations on benefit delivery transformation initiatives
- You can analyze policy proposals, provide advice on stakeholder impacts, and develop options for decision-makers

Communication, Presentation and Negotiation Skills

- You possess effective communication and presentation skills to advise senior management on current issues
- You possess relationship management and negotiation skills to build partnerships and effective business relationships

General Knowledge

- You are familiar with benefits delivery and related programs/initiatives
- You are able to acquire knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of public administration
- You are able to acquire knowledge of IT and business processes required to deliver benefits
