What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:
• provide customer service support to district, regional and industry clients in the resolution of wood measurement and licensing issues
• organize and present wood measurement training courses, lead audits and prepare sampling plans
• organize, lead and coordinate meetings, conferences, data collection projects, statistical analysis projects and prepare reports

How do I qualify?

Mandatory requirements:

• You must possess a valid driver's licence.
• You must possess a valid scaler's licence.

Technical skills:

• You are able to apply and interpret legislation, regulations, policies and procedures related to forest management and wood measurement.
• You have the ability to provide technical guidance and direction to branch field staff, district staff and client groups.
• You have knowledge of computer hardware and software programs to prepare reports, internal and external communications and training plans.

Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills:

• You possess well-developed communication skills to deal with clients and staff.
• You have demonstrated customer service skills to deal with stakeholders.
• You have proven record of working in a team environment.
• You possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to deal with client groups.

Other important skills:

• You are able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• You possess demonstrated tact and good judgement.
• You have organizational, reasoning and analytical skills to conduct audits, detect inconsistencies in data and to make recommendations for corrective action.
