The Strategic and Operational Initiatives Branch offers the perfect opportunity for a results-driven individual with strong strategic program evaluation and design skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
What can I expect to do in this role?
In this role, you will:
• plan, conduct and/or facilitate program evaluation, program audits, research studies and statistical analyses of direct service offender programs
• develop tools to support ongoing project activities requiring data capture
• conduct specialized audits of all adult correctional custody programs
• advise ministry officials of the impact of program evaluation and research findings
• lead the design of specialized programs
How do I qualify?
Technical Expertise:
• You have knowledge of research methodology, statistical analysis and interpretation
• You have knowledge of program evaluation techniques and processes
• You have knowledge of corrections and human service programs, criminogenic programming, and policy development processes
• You are proficient with computers and various software applications
Analytical, Conceptual and Strategic Thinking Skills:
• You can identify, analyze and interpret results of program evaluations, research projects and audits
• You can identify solutions and weigh the value of each
• You can develop and establish broad and long term objectives, goals or projects which affect the organization
Communication, Project Planning and Leadership Skills:
• You have oral and written communication skills to prepare and present research, evaluation and study results
• You can lead annual program audits and provide direction to external researchers
• You can determine deliverables to meet challenging goals

As a result of the recently agreed to AMAPCEO collective agreement, a new job evaluation system will be implemented on October 1, 2013. In the new job evaluation system, the classification level of this position is Level 5 with a salary range of $64,605.00 - $90,300.00
