Are you a results-oriented and highly motivated individual looking for an opportunity to apply your excellent research and analytical skills?

If so, consider this position as a Strategy Analyst with the Strategy, Stewardship and Risk Management Branch in Tax Benefits Administration (TBA) within the Ministry of Finance.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:

• conduct research and analysis;
• assist in the development of the TBA strategic plan and its critical business strategies ;
• assist in the development, promotion and implementation of various strategies for TBA;
• support the development of a TBA perspective on critical products including Program Review, Renewal and Transformation materials; Quarterly reports and Budget items;
• support TBA engagement strategies and innovation initiatives;
• participate in special projects and assist with various initiatives and assignments evolving from TBA's business strategy.

How do I qualify?

Technical Knowledge:

• You have the ability to understand the province's tax, benefit and revenue programs
• You have knowledge of strategic planning to provide assistance in the development, promotion and implementation of various strategies
• You have knowledge of project management principles, tools and techniques to assist in the delivery of special projects

Research, Analytical and Project Management Skills:

• You have strong analytical and research skills to anticipate, identify and assess the impact of strategic issues and to assist in the identification of recommendations to support their resolution
• You have experience in project delivery to support the development and implementation of various strategies
• You have an understanding of performance measurement including the development of performance measures to report on the progress of business activities and strategies

Oral and Written Communication Skills:

• You have strong written communication skills to prepare reports on research and analytical findings
• You have well-developed oral communication skills to present research and analytical findings
• You have strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate/liaise with staff and stakeholders and to prepare and present information
