About the job
In this role, you will:
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to inform and advance ministry policies.
• Lead and manage change initiatives across the ministry, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with strategic goals.
• Develop and implement change management plans, including stakeholder engagement strategies, workshops, and training materials
• Collaborate with senior management and project teams to define deliverables, allocate resources, and ensure consistency across engagement and change initiatives
• Provide expert advice on risk management and offer guidance to support successful engagement and change implementation
• Evaluate the effectiveness of engagement and change initiatives, identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with ministry objectives
• Manage procurement processes to secure external vendors and support the delivery of engagement and change-related services
What you bring to the team
Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement Expertise
You can:
• Demonstrate knowledge of change management theories, tools and strategies to advise senior leadership
• Design and execute tailored change initiatives
• Demonstrate knowledge of stakeholder engagement methods to develop effective strategies
• Conduct consultations to gather stakeholder insights and address concerns
Communication and Presentation Skills
You have:
• Communication skills to provide consultations, and develop reports and proposals
• Ability to present briefings and recommendations to various audiences
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office, Zoom, Adobe, and online engagement platforms to create presentations and change management materials
Relationship Management and Influencing Skills
You have:
• Ability to build relationships, and ability to negotiate and collaborate across teams and committees to inform and advance policy initiatives
• Mediation and persuasion skills to foster key internal and external partnerships
• Experience advising and facilitating cross-divisional projects, resolving issues and driving action plans
• Ability to deliver stakeholder consultations to support strategic engagement and decision-making
Research, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
You can:
• Develop and apply best practice change management tools and resources across the ministry
• Demonstrate analytical and strategic thinking skills to identify issues, evaluate options and recommend risk mitigation strategies
• Manage priorities, transitions and resolve challenges in collaboration with senior leaders
• Identify emerging issues and provide sound, timely advice to support change and stakeholder engagement
