Join our team as a Senior Product Manager and lead innovative digital solutions that strengthen Ontario's emergency health system. Your work will help ensure families and patients receive timely ambulance care, improve 9-1-1 response coordination, and empower first responders with accurate, data-driven tools.

In this role, you'll manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on leveraging data and technology to drive improvements in emergency health oversight and communication. About Us:
The Health Services I&IT Cluster delivers innovative technology solutions that drive business transformation and critical infrastructure projects across the health sector. We play a key role in advancing a common IT framework for government and supporting emergency health operations.

The Emergency Health I&IT Solutions & Technology Management Branch (EHSTMB) provides mission-critical technologies for 911 ambulance communications, emergency health oversight, and secure data transfer. We work closely with dispatch centers, paramedic services, hospitals, and other first responders to ensure seamless emergency communication and implement best-in-class technologies for timely, accurate response.

About the job

As the Senior Product Manager in the Emergency Health I&IT Solutions & Technology Management Branch, you will:

• understand the needs and challenges of Ontarians accessing medical 9-1-1 services.
• advocate for 9-1-1 patients, communication officers, and service providers to develop effective solutions.
• collaborate with UX teams, developers, and vendors to deliver high-quality, iterative products.
• lead products from concept to release, ensuring smooth operations and continuous improvement.
• develop a product roadmap based on expert advice, research, and data analysis.
• build strong relationships with partners to create valuable, usable, and feasible products.

What you bring to the team


Product management

You are skilled in:
• crafting a digital product vision and strategy, leading multi-disciplinary teams from concept to launch using agile methods.
• collaborating with teams to turn the product vision into actionable backlogs, ensuring smooth and continuous delivery.
• working with mature vendor products, driving enhancements through iterative improvements.
• applying agile and project management principles to guide projects effectively.
• overseeing large-scale transformation projects with a focus on achieving product and service goals through measurable metrics.

Project and digital expertise

You are skilled in:
• understanding the emergency health digital market, including technology, platforms, and trends, to identify new opportunities.
• researching industry best practices to support implementation strategies.
• applying technology and market trends to your work.
• transforming user research and feedback into better user experiences.

Analyzing and problem-solving skills

You are a problem-solver who:
• develops program evaluation frameworks and conducts statistical analyses to measure the success and sustainability of initiatives.
• identifies impacts and makes recommendations based on findings.
• assesses changes in policies, technology, and services to pinpoint business process needs, issues, opportunities, risks, and solutions.

Leadership and communication skills

You are a collaborative leader who:
• communicates in team discussions and documents work clearly.
• builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders.
• facilitates interviews to understand business needs and participates in project committees.
• persuades stakeholders to adopt new business processes.
