Join our team as a Services Supervisor with OCWA

About the job

In this role, you will lead the continuous improvement of asset management programs and technical services for advanced Class 4 water/wastewater facilities. You will use your skills in leadership, project management and client service to coordinate with a number of internal and external stakeholders at each of the water/wastewater treatment plants, which includes extensive collection and distribution infrastructure. Represent the Agency in dealings and meetings with local municipal representatives, contractors, and consultants.

Licensing Requirement

• Must hold a valid Class ‘G' drivers license.

Knowledge

• Advanced technical knowledge of asset management and engineering technology principles, methodologies, and technologies in water/wastewater applications.
• Advanced knowledge of client service principles in providing competitive, commercialized services in a client-driven business.
• Knowledge of operational computerized systems (such as work management systems, CHUBB security system (or equivalent), CCTV systems, fire safety systems, and electronic locking systems).
• Knowledge of complex mechanical equipment and electronic controls used in industrialized processes in order to optimize asset management programs.
• Knowledge of the financial/budgeting procedures, and procurement practices.
• Advanced knowledge of relevant water/wastewater and health and safety legislation, regulations, Acts.

Skills and Ability include

• Excellent project management skills and the ability to use planning/scheduling software.
• Demonstrated team leadership skills, and experience supervising staff to train, direct and assign work activities, and following up to ensure completion
• Analytical and evaluating skills to prepare proposals, assessments, and recommendations to optimize programs and processes.
• Technical writing skills to develop reports, training documents, and procedures.
• Demonstrated oral communication skills to deliver instructions, presentations, and training.
• Understanding of inventory and records management techniques.
• Proficiency in office and operational computerized systems
• Interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel to meetings and various facility sites.
