About the job

In this role, you will:

• Lead, manage, and coordinate responses to urgent and complex issues under tight deadlines, working closely with communications staff and subject matter experts.
• Review and edit materials to ensure accuracy, consistency of messaging, appropriate tone, and relevance.
• Build strong working relationships with staff across the province, as well as with the Deputy Minister's and Assistant Deputy Minister's offices and external partners, to support timely issue resolution.
• Coordinate the preparation and consolidation of reports, briefing notes, correspondence, presentations, and other materials in a fast-paced environment.
• Research, compile, and organize information on emerging issues and trends, and prepare clear summaries and presentations.
• Participate in committees, meetings, and working groups on behalf of the executive assistant.
• Initiate, plan, and deliver special projects and assignments.

• an understanding of diverse viewpoints and can choose appropriate approaches to communication challenges.
• the ability to review, prepare, coordinate, and edit correspondence, responses, issues notes, and briefing notes.

Technical Knowledge

You have:
• the ability to develop expert knowledge of divisional and ministry policies, programs, and operations.
• the capacity to apply government decision-making and issues-management processes to sensitive matters.

Project Management Skills

•You have the ability to initiate, plan, execute, and track special projects and assignments, and to implement approved initiatives.
