About the job
Although every day will look different, you can expect this position to include tasks like:
• providing a range of clerical, administrative, and support services
• responding to general public inquiries
• managing office procedures
• preparing reports, spreadsheets, letters and other documentation
What you bring to the team
Customer service, communication and interpersonal skills:
You have:
• customer-service skills/orientation
• the ability to work as a team member and handle high level of stress when dealing with fatalities, work accidents and irate clients
• communication skills to provide information and obtain details of incidents and events
• written communication skills to provide information and prepare responses/correspondence
Administrative knowledge and skills:
You have:
• proficiency with computer applications for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and email
• knowledge of records management and practices to maintain electronic and manual filing systems
• knowledge of the operation of various office equipment
• knowledge of office administration policies and procedures
Analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills:
You have:
• the ability to develop a solid understanding of ministry programs and legislation.er to handle/refer enquiries and provide program information
• the ability to use sound judgment in resolving problems independently
• experience responding to inquiries and/or complaints, referring where appropriate
• organizational skills to prioritize work, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
