Working at the intersection of technology, finance, and public service, the EPM Specialist plays a key role in strengthening Ontario's financial systems by supporting and enhancing IFIS, the Ontario Public Service's (OPS) Oracle Financials ERP platform. In this role, you will deliver end-to-end solutions, from requirements analysis and solution design to testing and production support, in partnership with ministries and central agencies to meet evolving business needs across government.
About Us:The Enterprise Financial Services Division supports the financial operations that keep the Government of Ontario running, delivering essential accounting, transaction processing, and application support services across ministries and agencies. Within the division, the Business Application Solutions Support (BASS) Branch plays a central role in supporting the Integrated Financial Information System (IFIS), the OPS enterprise Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, which enables reliable financial management, reporting, and the annual preparation of the Public Accounts.

As an Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Specialist, your responsibilities will include:• Applications expertise to assist in the analysis, design, build, test and support of new software functionalities in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting solutions – such as cost centre forecasting, salary and benefits forecasting, consolidations and public accounts.
• Lead software solution projects to meet client requirements in financial management, from inception to post-implementation support
• Provide client support on production support, consult with vendors, consultants, and peers to manage and address application issues
What you bring to the team
Financial Knowledge and Skills:
You have demonstrated:
• Experience implementing and providing support for large financial applications such as Hyperion Financial Management, Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Financial Data Management;
• Experience using financial planning applications such as cost centre forecasting, salary forecasting, cash forecasting, consolidations and public accounts;
• Knowledge of financial and management accounting;
• Experience applying internal control procedures, business management frameworks, financial operations and controllership models;
• Experience with formal systems implementation and current methodologies such as Oracle Unified Method
Analytical Skills:
• You have demonstrated experience using business intelligence and analytics systems
• You are able to analyze business requirements identifying impact on policies/processes, prepare cost benefit analyses and make recommendations
• You have strong analytical skills to analyze multi-dimensional datasets, current business processes against best practices, identify gaps and propose areas for improvement
Relationship Management and Communicaiton Skills
• You have strong collaboration skills to participate on committees and project status meetings.
• You are comfortable developing presentation and facilitating user training
• You can present material to various clients, stakeholders and senior managers.
• you have mediation, consensus building and negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and partners at all levels
Project Management Skills:
• You have experience with formal systems implementation and current methodologies in managing projects such as Software Development Lifecycle and agile.
• You are very organized and able to meet deliverables and targets.
