Labour Relations Board is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide effective administrative support services to the Alternate Chair and Vice Chairs. About the job
In this role you will:• provide secretarial and administrative services to the Alternate Chair and Vice-Chairs of the Ontario Labour Relations Board
• prepare Board decisions and maintain Board decision data in the case management system
What you bring to the team
Mandatory Requirement:
• You are fluent in English and have superior oral and written French language skills. Your proficiency level will be confirmed before hire.
Computer Skills:
• You have proficiency with computer software to prepare standard legal decisions within strict timelines.
• You have a thorough understanding of the functions of, and ability to accurately enter and query data in case management systems.
Communication Skills:
• You have demonstrated written and oral communication skills with the ability to use grammar and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy of decisions.
Organizational Skills:
• You can manage a diverse workload, establish priorities and meet deadlines.
• You have the ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Analytical, Judgement and Research Skills:
• You can determine issues from brief instructions.
• You can research quotes from arbitration cases, precedents and citations for correct inclusion in Board decisions.
Other Skills:
• You have familiarity with legal terminology.
• You have the ability to use own initiative in managing sensitive and confidential issues.
