About the job
As an
Enforcement Services Clerk , you'll keep operations organized, accurate, and responsive. From managing data and preparing reports to assisting with legal documents and public inquiries, your work will help enforce transportation laws and keep Ontario's roads safe.
In the role, you will:
• help organize financial data and support budget and workplan preparation.
• track and report enforcement statistics on a regular basis.
• respond to questions from the public and staff, and share information with enforcement partners.
• prepare legal documents and keep records of complaints, investigations, and court dates.
• handle meeting planning, office supplies, invoices, and other day-to-day administrative tasks.
What you bring to the team
Administrative and financial skills:
• you have experience planning budgets, reviewing costs, and organizing data to support programs
• you are comfortable working with invoices, calculating percentages, and checking financial records for accuracy
• you have the ability to follow established policies and procedures to ensure work is done consistently and meets required standards
• you can identify issues like budget errors or non-compliance and know when to raise them with your manager
Computer and technology skills:
• you are confident using computers to enter data, create documents, and support daily tasks
• you have the ability to use digital tools to work efficiently and keep accurate records
Problem solving and analytical thinking:
• you can review reports and invoices to ensure they are complete and correct
• you have the ability to analyze data and spot patterns that help improve enforcement
• you use basic math and data skills to support decisions and create reports
Communication and people skills:
• you are able to speak and write clearly when working with coworkers, the public, and other partners
• you use good judgment and treat others with respect, especially in sensitive situations
• you can explain complex rules and policies in a way that's easy to understand
Understanding of regulatory and legal procedures:
• you can understand and explain requirements related to driver and vehicle services
• you can prepare legal documents by following the required steps and formats (e.g. summonses and subpoenas)
• you can organize and track information, (e.g. complaints, court dates, and supporting documents)
• you can provide accurate information about vehicle rules and standards (e.g. safety inspections, weight limits, fees, and fuel tax requirements)
