About the job

In this role, you will:
• provide I&IT quality assurance (QA) expertise, methodology and techniques in different phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including design, development, testing and implementation of business applications
• provide I&IT quality assurance and testing expertise to the development of system, development of automation and regression functionalities and capabilities and user acceptance testing (UAT) strategies and plans to support the business applications delivery

What you bring to the team


Technical Skills

You have:
• knowledge of and experience with n tier architecture in quality assurance, including, Siebel public sector case management, Siebel BIP Reports, Adobe LiveCycle, XML, Java, dot.net, HTML5, Web services, SQL, JQuery, VB Script., CSS, Oracle, UNIX shellscript, WebSphere/WebLogic, UML, HPQC/JIRA , HP QTP and Performance Centre
• knowledge of and experience with development and support of large and complex n tier web-based applications and reporting technologies, I&IT architectures, programming languages and concepts, automation language and concepts, and database management systems
• knowledge of QA practices including application unit, integration, functional, automation, regression, performance/load, system acceptance
• knowledge of QA methods, tools, measurement, and standards in order to develop strategies, plans, scenarios and provide QA expertise and advice to project and other staff
• knowledge of business and systems analysis techniques to analyze business requirements and system & automation testing needs and create testing plans and cases to ensure compliance with business requirements
• knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the QA, system testing, automation and regression testing, and user acceptance testing field to identify and evaluate technologies that have potential value to the enterprise and develop recommendations

Specialized Knowledge

You have:
• knowledge of accepted application quality assurance process, methodology and tools, quality assurance testing and implementation methods and practices to design and coordinate testing procedures, and to coordinate acceptance testing and consolidation with clients
• knowledge and experience in the application of I&IT QA and testing roles into the complete system development lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development and delivery cycle of solutions to meet business needs
• knowledge of industry standard Test Management Tools and of Automated Testing processes
• experience developing and conducting training to develop staff on testing, including automation and regression testing

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

• You have analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze and define clients' application needs and to evaluate the results from testing against pre-defined acceptance criteria and recommend acceptance or rework of tested applications

Communication Skills

You have:
• written and oral communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills to develop specifications, test plans, test scenarios, scripts, training lesson plans, and acceptance criteria and to present to business clients, project and testing teams, cluster staff, vendors and other stakeholders to gain approvals to proceed
• communication skills to interact with cluster and client ministries' staff and other stakeholders to present test results, document test findings, verify project plans and tasks, report on problem resolutions and draft clear technical and process documentation
• interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and foster effective relationships with stakeholders; present, explain, illustrate, and provide training on applications and solutions; and develop client support for recommended approaches

Project Management and Organizational Skills

You have:
• knowledge of project management methodologies in order to develop projects plans, lead resources, monitor progress and deliver solutions that meet QA standards, satisfy time and cost estimates and meet client requirements
• organizational skills to work effectively within a deadline driven environment and deal with multiple teams representing various areas in the delivery of projects
