About the job
In this role, you will:
• Participate in the design, development, improvement and implementation of new and evolving regulatory compliance programs
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, identify operational trends, issues or gaps in program delivery and develop recommendations and outreach programs to external clients
• Provide advice and guidance to project teams, analyze risk, develop performance indicators and prepare reports summarizing program performance
• Provide environmental programs knowledge to assist in effective delivery of enforcement programs.
• Represent the Division and Branch on various committees and initiatives

What you bring to the team
Mandatory requirements
• This position requires the successful candidate to have a valid Ontario driver's licence or equivalent. The offer of employment is conditional upon the successful candidate providing proof of a valid driver's licence upon being hired.
Project Management Skills:
• You have knowledge of project management methods and techniques, operational planning and program delivery methods and practices
• You have knowledge of methodologies (e.g., logic model, risk analysis) to inform the development of performance indicators and priorities for program improvements
Communication Skills:
• You have excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders with tact and diplomacy
• You are able to communicate technical information and you have knowledge of training techniques and methods to provide outreach to a diverse audience
• You have proven written communication skills to prepare a variety of documentation, presentations, reports and graphics as required
Technical Knowledge:
• You have knowledge of and are able to interpret federal and provincial environmental legislation such as
Environmental Protection Act, Ontario Water Resources Act, Nutrient Management Act, Clean Water Act, Pesticides Act, Environmental Assessment Act• You have knowledge of environmental management theories, policies, , practices and techniques, procedures and standards as they apply to air, land and water issues
Negotiation & Consensus Building Skills:
• You are able to negotiate solutions among multiple stakeholders
• You have conflict resolution skills in cases of competing priorities and when faced with contentious issues
Analytical and Evaluative Skills:
• You have demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and evaluative skills to provide guidance and advice to clients
• Coordinating, compiling and analyzing data and preparing reports that evaluate the effectiveness and performance of existing and new programs within designated time frames.
• You have solid background using various computer software packages (word processing, databases, spreadsheets, BI Analytics etc.) to compile, organize and analyze data
• You are able to work with innovative information management platforms to share information with internal and external audiences
