About the job

You will:
• Provide legal support services to lawyers in the administration of estates of vulnerable clients and work related to real estate, civil litigation and family law litigation
• Schedule and coordinate requests for examinations for discovery, hearings, cross examinations, motions and meetings

What you bring to the team


Mandatory requirements

• You must possess oral and written French language skills at the advanced level. Your proficiency level will be confirmed before hire. (For bilingual position only)

Legal administration knowledge

• You have demonstrated knowledge of legal office principles and practices to prepare complex legal documents from precedents or information provided by lawyers
• You are able to interpret and apply relevant legislation
• You have knowledge of real estate searches and transactions, legal principles and terminology

Communication skills

• You have excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to liaise with all levels of staff and the public, and prepare a variety of documents

Other relevant skills

• You are proficient with computer software applications to produce letters, memoranda, reports, legal documents and track all documents and correspondence
• You have investigative, research, analytical and decision making skills
• You have organizational skills and an ability to work within strict time constraints while maintaining a high volume of work
