Are you passionate about driving quality improvement in health care? Join the Health Care Planning and Performance (HCPP) Unit, where as the Accreditation Lead, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and drive continuous quality improvement across Ontario's correctional institutions. You will work closely with internal teams, senior leadership, and external partners to strengthen program integrity and performance.
Reporting to the Manager, Health Care Planning & Performance, the Accreditation Lead will:
• Lead health care accreditation planning, readiness and monitoring activities.
• Embed accreditation standards compliance into organizational continuous improvement activities and culture.
• Oversee accreditation standards compliance, risks, and performance reporting.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Drive cross branch collaboration to strengthen program quality and outcomes.
What you bring to the team
Technical Knowledge
You have:
• Experience supporting accreditation readiness, compliance activities, and ongoing monitoring
• Knowledge of applying standards, legislation, and best practices to support quality and safe service delivery
• Experience contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ability to use performance and compliance information to identify gaps and inform improvements
Leadership and Project Management Skills
You have:
• Experience leading and managing complex policy, program, and initiative development
• Demonstrated use of project management approaches to support planning, delivery, and performance improvement
• Experience delivering projects from concept through completion, meeting timelines and expectations
Issues Management and Problem Solving Skills
You have:
• Experience analyzing information to understand complex business and operational issues
• The ability to assess risks, impacts, and options to support decision making
• Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve sensitive or contentious issues
Research, Evaluation, and Analytical Skills
You have:
• Experience assessing the effectiveness of policies and programs against ministry priorities and goals
• The ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy, and procedural requirements
• Experience supporting change initiatives through analysis, risk assessment, and innovative approaches
• Demonstrated sound judgment and political acuity in complex environments
Relationship Management and Facilitation Skills
You have:
• Experience building and managing effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to lead consultations and facilitate discussions to support shared understanding
• Experience collaborating to navigate differing perspectives and shifting priorities
• Experience preparing and presenting briefings, reports, and recommendations for senior management
