The Ontario Labour Relations Board (OLRB) seeks a client service professional to provide administrative support and information services in English and French to the general public and parties to cases before the OLRB, the Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal and related adjudicative agencies.

About the job

As part of the OLRB's client service network, you will:
• answer and direct large volume of multi-line telephone calls to the OLRB and related agencies
• provide specific case related information
• process and track payments
• compile statistics

What you bring to the team


Mandatory requirements

• You must possess oral French language skills at the advanced level. Your proficiency level will be confirmed before hire.

Communication skills:

• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain procedures clearly and to properly direct clients using tact, diplomacy and professionalism.
• You are able to ensure sensitivity regarding security and confidentiality requirements when discussing and releasing information.

Technical knowledge:

• You have knowledge of personal computers and related business operation applications such as MS Office, point-of-sale (POS) terminal, multi-line and case management systems.

Other essential skills:

• You have strong analytical skills to probe for information and assist callers.
• You are able to interpret and apply operating guidelines.
• You have strong organizational and time management skills.
• You are able to manage conflicting demands and a large volume of calls.
