We are currently seeking talented Project Managers to join our team and lead the coordination and development of long-term care redevelopment projects with assigned long-term care home operators.
As a Project Manager, you will be in a role where you oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of long-term care redevelopment projects, ensuring they are carried out efficiently, in compliance with regulations, and in line with industry best practices and ministry goals.
About the job
In this role, you will:
• Support Ontario Health, Long-Term Care Homes (LTCHs), and health service providers with policies and programs.
• Collaborate to develop strategies for resolving issues and mitigating risks.
• Continuously review, evaluate, analyze, and monitor LTCHs.
• Manage Long-Term Care (LTC) capital redevelopment projects.
• Lead and consult with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Prepare complex briefing notes, contentious issues notes, and communication materials.

• Regularly provide leadership, direction and advice to LTCHs and health service providers.

• Proactively assess risks in planning, design, procurement, and financial documents.
• Evaluate capital plans and post-construction submissions.
• Ensure compliance with ministry policies, contracts, and industry standards.
• Develop strategies to mitigate risks and resolve complex issues.
Relationship Management and Facilitation Skills:
You can:
• Manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Collaborate to resolve issues and negotiate priority changes.
• Lead consultations to ensure shared understanding.
Communication Skills:
You can:
• Identify challenges and respond to issues, provide recommendations, and prepare decision-making and briefing notes.
• Create, lead, and present briefings on complex issues to senior management ensuring they are provided with evidence based analyses.
Technical Knowledge:
You have:
• Knowledge of the health care system and services.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation (e.g., Long-Term Care Homes Act, Public Hospitals Act).
