Job Specification

Duties / Responsibilities :

•Assist in the delivery of science workshops and programs to Camp and birthday party children
•Ensure a safe learning environment for campers
•Provide positive camp experiences to children and act as a good example to the campers
•Motivate and encourage children to participate and try new activities
•Report supply needs and repairs to be done
•Attend training, meetings, and assist in Camp set-up
•Communicate with OSC staff, parents and the public
•Assist in the management of Camp supplies

Knowledge :

•Broad knowledge of science principles
•Working knowledge of the camp environment
•Experience interacting with children of different ages, learning styles/abilities & special needs
•First Aid certification
•General knowledge of health and safety issues
•Awareness and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population
