About the job
• Assists in the input and review of crown and municipal land use and resource management plans and policies, and environmental assessment documents by providing information and advice, preparing reports and developing planning options.
• Assists in the review of applications and projects to determine conformity to provincial objectives, legislation, policies and processes.
• Assists with consultation and facilitation initiatives by preparing communication materials, organizing meetings, compiling any public and stakeholder input and drafting responses.
• Participate as an active member of Aylmer District's Resources Operations Team in the successful completion of planning related activities and projects.
What you bring to the team
Knowledge
• General knowledge and understanding of legislation and policies governing municipal and crown land use planning, resource management planning and environmental assessment.
• Good understanding of the theory, principles, and practices of crown and municipal land use planning, natural resource management and environmental assessment.
Analytical and Research Skills
• Good interpersonal, oral and written communication, and facilitation skills, and the ability to work and contribute within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Good analytical, organizational and time management skills.
Computer Skills
• Knowledge of and experience with word processing, database and spreadsheet software applications to access email, organize and analyze data and prepare presentations and reports
Note/Mandatory
