• To support the development and interpretation of evidence-based policies related to provincial protected areas, conservation lands and waters through policy research and analysis and the preparation of materials such as policy options and recommendations, discussion papers and presentation materials.
What you bring to the team
Knowledge
• Demonstrated knowledge of legislation and policy.
• Knowledge of the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006 and related regulations and policies.Research and Communication Skills
• Understanding of policy and program development, research and analytical approaches and techniques, as well as protected area protection and other resource management principles
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good judgment and interpersonal skills.Computer Skills
• Working knowledge of computer software packages including MS-Excel, MS Word, MS Access, and GIS.Note
