If so, the Transformation Consulting Services Branch (TCSB) within the Ontario Public Service (OPS) may be of interest.

We are currently seeking a Senior Transformation Capacity Consultant to join our team of skilled professionals at our office in downtown Toronto.

We are a small but mighty unit within TCSB that aspires to help solve big organizational challenges. It's no secret that transformation and change have become everyday realities. We work with partners from across the entire OPS to answer one burning question: how can we enhance the organization's ability to respond to change and meet the demands associated with ongoing transformation?

Here are some of the opportunities we often attempt to brainstorm answers to:
• How can we design sessions that facilitate effective and focused joint problem-solving opportunities?
• How can we make the right information available to the right people at the right time?
• How can we help different partners and stakeholders unite around common goals?

What can I expect to do in this role?

In a perfect world, the perfect candidate will help to answer some of the questions posed above and will have some experience doing some of the following:

1. Organization transformation:
a. Ability to understand common organization transformation challenges and assist clients in finding solutions.
b. Developing or implementing organization transformation methods and tools (e.g., change management, organization design).

2. Facilitation session design and delivery:
a. Working with clients to design collaborative working sessions.
b. Working with groups of stakeholders to develop new ideas, priorities, and solutions.
c. Familiarity with a range of facilitation techniques (e.g., design thinking).

How do I qualify?

Facilitation and Consultation Skills:

• You have superior facilitation skills to lead solutions-oriented discussions with executives, business partners, and business organization experts.
• You have knowledge and experience in the development and delivery of adult education interventions in various environments using a variety of media.
• You have strong influencing and negotiation skills to impact and influence decisions.

Change Management Skills:

• You have knowledge of, and demonstrated success in using/implementing change management theories and best practices.
• You have demonstrated experience conducting needs analysis procedures to identify gaps in programs, policies and procedures.
• You have experience developing, implementing and assessing solutions in support of business transformation strategies.

Team Leadership Skills:

• You have effective team leadership skills to provide clear direction and guidance to teams and to oversee and manage a variety of concurrent initiatives.

Communication Skills and Political Acuity:

• You have demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills to make recommendations on organizational strategy, to prepare and present a variety of briefing notes, developmental programs, business cases and reports.
• You have exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to develop rapport quickly with senior executives, SMEs, partners and stakeholders.
• You have political acuity to assess potential risks and challenges.
