About the job
As an Information Management Policy Assistant, you will:
• conduct review and track divisional projects;
• review/assess project plans against project milestones, deliverables
and budget
• provide quality review and audit functions for all major deliverables of projects
• ensure that all project management functions, processes, and performance management reports adhere to quality standards and document control
• prepare information summaries, research and analytical reports
• develop and maintain program related information resources such as web-based education materials
• provide a range of research support functions such as compile and summarize background materials, draft and create computer presentations, and conduct environmental scans
• participate in the development and implementation of communication strategies, develop/monitor operational plans
• assist in the identification and assessment of training needs, plan and develop training materials/sessions
What you bring to the team
Project Management and Administrative Skills:
• You have knowledge of project planning, administration and control methodologies to provide quality review and audit function, track project risks and review/assess project plans.
• You have the ability to learn the mandate, strategic directions, core businesses and organizational structure of the Division.
Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
• You can anticipate, identify, address issues and develop practical solutions to ensure quality and document control.
• You can use your research and analytical methods and techniques to conduct environmental scans, review portfolio, investment and industry policies, standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Computer Skills:
• You are proficient with computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, project scheduling and Internet to track and report on projects, manage record keeping and file maintenance.
Communication and Relationship Management Skills
• You can compile and summarize information reports and analyses, assist in drafting project business cases, briefing notes, presentation materials, and project plans/reports.
• You can develop communication tools such as web-based education materials.
• You have consultation, communication, and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders, seek input and advice on research and assignments, discuss project risk, ensure projects adhere to quality standards, and facilitate information sharing.
