The Centre for Employee Health, Safety and Wellness is seeking individuals with strong consultation skills to support the workplace discrimination and harassment prevention program.

About the job
You will:
• provide case management services for the prevention, review, investigation and resolution of Workplace Discrimination and Harassment (WDHP) complaints and the implementation of workplace restoration;
• provide expert advice and guidance to line management and senior management on WDHP policies, issues and trends;
• assist in the development, delivery and coordination of educational, training and awareness programs and the analysis and communication of issues in WDHP matters to line managers, employees and HR business units;
• develop compliance data and statistical analysis to support individual case and broad program recommendations.
What you bring to the team
Technical Skills:
• You have experience interpreting and applying legislation related to human rights, such as the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Workplace Discrimination & Harassment Prevention Policy, the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, the Crown Employees Collective Bargaining Act, the Ontario Labor Relations Act and policies and procedures related to human rights.
• You have knowledge of human resources theories, principles, techniques and the application of collective agreements.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
• You have demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential issues and develop and present reports and recommendations.
• You have experience in mediation and negotiation to provide advice and manage issues with program management, service providers and other agencies.
Analytical and Organizational Skills:
• You have demonstrated analytical skills to identify and investigate legislative, policy and program issues and complaints.
• You have demonstrated organizational skills to plan and coordinate work priorities.
Other Essential Skills:
• You have knowledge of administrative and civil law, due process and confidentiality and privacy issues.
• You have knowledge of organizational theory related to equity issues in the workplace.
• You have demonstrated skill in computer systems and applications to prepare reports, briefing and research materials and presentations.
