What can I expect to do in this role?

Are you a results-oriented, detail minded, experienced Contract Manager, who is committed to and is driven by the provision of customer service excellence? Do you also have experience working in the vocational rehabilitation or disability management field? If so, the WSIB wants to hear from you.

Reporting to the Manager, Provider Contracts, the Contract Manager will be responsible for managing the ongoing contracts for a prescribed portfolio of external work reintegration services. This includes managing and resolving day-to-day issues related to interpretation of contract terms and conditions and ensuring provision of services is consistent in meeting contractual expectations.

This position is responsible for addressing quality complaints/issues with the service providers in order to obtain a mediated and acceptable resolution.

How do I qualify?

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and manage provider relationships with the external work reintegration service providers who provide services, such as vocational and functional assessments, education, skills upgrading and vocational training, and employment placement and retention, in order to ensure effective delivery of the contracted services.
• Resolve case specific quality complaints/issues with service providers as required.
• Identify and recommend corrective action when providers do not meet the requirements set out in the contract terms and conditions
• Respond to enquiries from internal/external parties.
• Participate in committees and working groups
• Communicate regularly with providers on performance metrics and provide specific recommendations to improve services.
• Assist in defining the vendor selection process for contract renewals or modifications.
• Perform regular analysis of vendor contracts to provide financial information for budget management.
• Chair regular meetings with provider groups to present program performance results and issues

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• University completion at the undergraduate level
• 7+ years' experience in Vocational Rehabilitation and/or Disability Management, AND Contract Management
• Excellent interpersonal skills to deal effectively with providers, WSIB management and staff
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills to resolve contract issues with providers
