At the Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI) we provide highly specialized trauma-informed mental health and developmental services. These services include Assessment, Consultation, Treatment, Research and Education. We work with local community services, building on what they have already done and use evidence based practices to adapt our approach to the unique needs of each child. CPRI is looking for a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care provided to children from birth to 18 years with complex developmental and complex medical needs.

What you bring to the team


Mandatory requirements

• Current registration and a Registered Nurse in good standing from the College of Nurses in Ontario.

Clinical Knowledge and Experience

• You have demonstrated knowledge of complex nursing care to assist in the development and implementation of nursing care plans and to serve as a primary nurse to clients with complex medical needs.
• You have applied knowledge of nursing theories, practices and relevant legislation to work in accordance with the College of Nurses Standards and Guidelines and of established policies and procedures.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

• You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to work within a multidisciplinary team environment and collaborate effectively with child, family, health care professionals and community agencies.

Problem Solving and Organizational Skills

• You have problem solving, analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills to identify complex medical concerns, manage information and prioritize workload within established timelines.
