At the Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI) we provide highly specialized trauma-informed mental health and developmental services. These services include Assessment, Consultation, Treatment, Research and Education. We work with local community services, building on what they have already done and use evidence based practices to adapt our approach to the unique needs of each child. CPRI is looking for an experienced Social Worker, who will lead by example as you bring your clinical leadership and assessment capabilities to this collaborative role.
About the job
You will:
• provide social work services in the form of assessment, consultation planning, treatment and follow-up to clients of CPRI using social work interventions and specific professional expertise and skills;
• consult and liaise with other disciplines, family and community partners as required, to establish appropriate programming and follow-up;
• record and report in accordance with CPRI and program policy; and,
• provide clinical leadership, capacity building and consultation to social workers, interdisciplinary team members, educational institutions and community agencies.
What you bring to the team
Mandatory requirements
• You have a Masters Degree in Social Work from a university of recognized standing or an acceptable equivalent, combined with social work experience; and
• You have membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
Clinical knowledge and skills
• You have the ability to use clinical social work skills, including assessment, clinical intervention, and consultation.
• You have the ability to review available information within appropriate theoretical framework to identify salient aspects of clinical presentation and determine appropriate levels of intervention.
• You have knowledge of diagnostic and treatment procedures utilized by related disciplines
Leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills
• You have demonstrated strong clinical leadership abilities and interpersonal skills to collaboratively work with and lead a multidisciplinary team
Communication, facilitation and organizational skills
• You have well developed communication, facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
• You have coordination and organizational skills to lead and manage caseload and team projects.
• You have proven communication skills to effectively relate to various members of the treatment team, clients, families and all relevant community agencies
