We are looking for a motivated professional to provide project leadership, consultative expertise, research and analyses to support Ministry business needs for high quality information, and methodological support for evidence-based decision making.

About the job

In this role you will:
• provide modelling and analytical skills to support the development and implementation of health sector funding models and allocation approaches
• provide expertise in defining and establishing performance indicators, and benchmarks
• build and maintain partnership with internal and external clients and stakeholders and represent the ministry on committees or working groups with leadership skills and consultative expertise;
• develop communication materials to translate complex health-based funding models into presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences

What you bring to the team


Knowledge

• you have knowledge of theories and concepts in one or more of the following: health economics, biostatistics, health system performance measurement, and understanding of analytic methods, statistical techniques and modeling, and quantitative research design
• you have knowledge in data management, simulation and expenditure analysis in a policy environment and development of complex data models and design of funding formulae

Analytical and Problem Solving Skills

• you can apply and interpret statistical and health analytics methods, standards and protocols to develop, evaluate and create products to support modelling
• you can conduct needs assessments, analyses and syntheses of research material, and prioritize key issues or risks

Communication Skills

• you can present complex comparative and statistical analyses, and reports for both technical and non-technical audiences
• you can provide expertise and advice to other members of a cross-functional team as well as stakeholders

Other Essential Knowledge and Skills

• you have project management knowledge and skills to provide project planning and leadership on concurrent small scale and large long-term analytic and product development projects
• you have knowledge in computer applications and software for statistical and quantitative analysis (including SAS), spreadsheets and databases to prepare data models, analyse relevant data sets, manipulate data and funding formulae
