About the job
In this role, you will:
• handle a variety of administrative and clerical tasks
• perform a variety of clerical tasks related to the Ministry's contracting processes
• update and manipulate data in various databases
• perform purchasing and asset management functions
• respond to general inquiries from internal and external clients
• maintain electronic and manual filing systems
• arrange and setup for meetings and video-conferences
The successful candidate may be located at any one of the identified locations within the North Region.
What you bring to the team
Mandatory skills:
• You have a valid driver's license
Administrative skills:
• You have proven experience providing administrative, financial and clerical support
• You have knowledge of general office procedures, practices and methods including manual and electronic filing systems
• You are proficient with computers including word processing spreadsheet power point, databases, electronic mail and internet software applications
Customer Service and Communication skills:
• You have excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to greet clients and liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• You have strong verbal and written communication skills to compose letters, reports, and draft minutes
• You are able to use diplomacy and tact in dealing with various stakeholders and sensitive issues
• You are able to work as part of a team as well as independently to complete task with minimal supervision
Analytical skills:
