Do you have a thorough knowledge of the theory and application of adult learning principles? Then, you are looking for this great opportunity as a creative Business Transformation Coordinator within the Ontario Public Service.

IT Source, Central Agencies I&IT Cluster, is a professional services organization that provides IT resources and enterprise wide project and portfolio management solutions to its clients across the government.

The IT Source is seeking a key team member to support internal clients in consultation, planning and implementation of learning and development programs, and business transformation. We are seeking a Business Transformation Coordinator to provide support and coordination for the research and development of policies, programs, processes, procedures and products to support and promote the objectives of the IT Source Branch and the overall strategic direction of the Information and Information Technology (I&IT) community across the Ontario Public Service (OPS).

What can I expect to do in this role?

As a Business Transformation Coordinator, you will:
• Conduct and participate in branch program and policy research, analysis and forecasts to support the development of learning program plans and strategies.
• Develop and/or contribute to the development of branch learning research, analysis and forecasts.
• Conduct research and analysis regarding similar program initiatives in other jurisdictions.
• Coordinate and support the planning and delivery of the learning approach for the implementation and rollout of learning solutions and resources.
• Develop branch program/project implementation plans and support materials for distribution to clients across the OPS.
• Participate in the identification, development and delivery of information and training sessions to enhance branch staff skills in learning programs and processes.
• Provide information to branch management and Business Transformation Consultants on current and anticipated I&IT learning program and policy development to support organizational objectives and priorities.
• Conduct research to support the design and development of program evaluation tools, methodologies, performance indicators and quality metrics to effectively assess the effectiveness of programs/policies in achieving unit and branch strategic objectives.
• Administer the monitoring and tracking of program development and delivery performance indicators and provides tracking reports to support the Business Transformation Consultant.

How do I qualify?

Knowledge:

• You have knowledge of I&IT business concepts and principles in the I&IT business environment.
• You have knowledge of IT client business needs across the OPS to participate in the development and implementation of branch learning programs, policies and processes.
• You have knowledge of learning program/policy theory, principles, business practices, methods and tools to participate in development of branch program solutions.
• You have knowledge of government/ministry policy development principles/practices and approval processes to contribute to the learning policy and program options and recommendations.
• You have knowledge of learning principles, methods and techniques skills to participate in the development and implementation of learning programs/materials, and to coordinate learning programs.

Interpersonal and Influencing Skills:

• You have relationship management, consultation and oral communication skills to participate in client consultations, and to provide information to management and clients related to learning programs/projects.
• You have consultation, collaboration and presentation skills to coordinate the implementation of branch programs/projects and to participate in information presentations/sessions.
• You have interpersonal skills to participate on branch and ministry committees and working groups related to branch programs, processes and policy issues.
• You have customer service skills to ensure the provision of timely, coordinated and appropriate communications services with branch/ministry management/staff and with clients across the OPS.

Analyzing and Problem-Solving Skills:

• You have the ability to conduct program research and analysis to support the development of learning program development plans, strategies and products.
• You are able to conduct research, analysis and assessment of program issues and impacts.
• You are able to review current processes and effectiveness, client needs, gaps and opportunities to identify opportunities for improved branch program effectiveness.
• You are able to assess the implications of future learning needs and requirements.
• You have the ability to conduct research to support learning program goals and improvement.
• You are able to review results of performance monitoring, and contribute to the analysis and assessment of the effectiveness and impact of policy/program outcomes and results.
• You have the ability to research and analyze the experience of other jurisdictions for potential application.

Organizational Skills:

• You have organizing skills to coordinate the implementation of branch programs/projects and to administer branch information and tracking systems and processes.

Project Management Skills:

• You have experience leading projects in the areas of communications and business transformation.

Communication Skills:

• You have written communication skills to prepare information content to prepare learning products and materials, and to support branch reports and briefings.
• You possess oral communication skills to provide information to branch management and to liaise with clients.
