Are you an effective leader with the ability to co-ordinate business projects? Do you have strong I&IT business analysis skills to assess, develop and advise on business systems, methods and practices? If so, consider this exciting opportunity with the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change.

What can I expect to do in this role?

You will:
• provide project leadership and business analysis expertise in the development and implementation of multiple concurrent business projects to
support the Branch in its role to evaluate existing ministry approvals licenses and permits within the context of the risk based environmental approvals framework (e.g. Environmental Compliance Approval, Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR) and subsequent program implementation strategies).

How do I qualify?

Technical Skills

• You have demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging business principles, methods and best practices in such areas as: business process review improvement and reengineering customer service delivery quality standards program and decision-making processes
• You have demonstrated knowledge to lead projects for the translation of regulatory change to ministry environmental approval, licensing and permits into business processes to drive Ontario's risk-based approach to environmental approvals.
• You have demonstrated knowledge of current modernization framework for environmental approvals, licensing and permits, branch project directions and initiatives and ministry programs to identify and recommend business process improvements to align with the modernization of approvals information technology infrastructure.
• You have demonstrated knowledge of business systems development arid the linkages between business operations and systems to act as the project interface with IT specialists, to define business needs and assess the implications of technology applications in support of specific business modernization proposals.

Project Leadership and Analytical Skills

• You have demonstrated knowledge of project management techniques and methodologies and project management skills to establish and lead a number of concurrent business process projects to completion, ensuring resources, project deliverables are integrated into, and meet critical corporate time frames.
• You have skills in the development and presentation of business cases, cost benefit analyses and feasibility studies.

Consultation and Negotiation Skills

• You have demonstrated consultation and negotiation skills to establish linkages with subject matter experts across the ministry, program managers and clients in order to coordinate joint activities and ensure project proposals are positioned to facilitate timely approval.
• You have oral and written communication and presentation skills to provide advice and guidance to project teams and present options and recommendations to steering committees and senior project management.

Computer Skills

• You have demonstrated knowledge of computer operations and applicable business and project management software and database applications to utilize for project management and preparation of materials.
