The Children, Youth and Social Services I&IT Cluster with the Ministry of Community and Social Services is seeking a Siebel Senior Systems Analyst/Lead Programmer to develop and maintain Siebel Case Management system. As a Siebel Development team member you will provide analysis and programming expertise, including analysis of user requirements, generation of prototypes for user consultation, and the design, programming, testing, documentation, implementation and maintenance of large, complex and diverse I&IT applications. You will contribute/participate/lead in design/code reviews for work related to Siebel Development work.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will:

• Participate and contribute to the team to plan, design, develop, implement, maintain and support ministry and/or enterprise applications
• Participate and contribute with program consultants engaged in complex business requirements analysis and development.
• Contribute to advice to clients, program staff and senior management on application and database development, and the customization of large, complex and specialized computer systems and applications.
• Participate, contribute and oversee the development and maintenance of program, systems, user and operational documentation
• Contribute, lead or assist with the implementation of new and enhanced systems
• Provide technical support to end users by identifying and debugging problems

How do I qualify?

Technical Knowledge and Skills

• You have understanding and experience in developing custom code for case management systems and configuration as a method to develop a solution
• You have knowledge /understanding/experience of Java Script, Jscript, PL/SQL, HTML5, CSS, XML and other programming languages
• You have knowledge Windows Operating System, AIX/Linux/Unix
• You have working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• You have knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle Methodologies, Agile, Waterfall, and ITIL

Analytical and Reasoning Skills

• You are able contribute to requirements analysis and as needed to apply to systems design and development
• You can evaluate potential impact of proposed system changes on existing service delivery
• You can contribute to the development of test and trial applications to determine practical results

Communication Skills

•You demonstrate oral and written communication skills to convey, present and discuss detailed information
•You must be able to communicate to coordinate and oversee the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation activities and to coordinate the development of systems documentation

Project/Work Planning Skills

• You have understanding and experience working within a Project Management framework for Software/Solutions Development
• You have understanding and experience in contributing and participating in planning and coordinating projects/tasks for solutions development
