If so, consider this opportunity with the Ministry of Health, Claims Services Branch, where you will process third party and individual requests to disclose personal health information and respond to inquiries from the public, lawyers, internal and external stakeholders on legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures that are used to make decisions on disclosures.

What can I expect to do in this role?

In this role, you will, as part of a team:

• Receive, log and track requests for personal health information.
• Review source documents to determine the nature of the request, research records and accurately input information into data fields.
• Identify missing requirements and request additional information for decision making.
• Process search and retrieval requests using electronic recording and tracking systems.
• Prepare documents for disclosure and file completed documents.
• Provide high level of customer service through interactions with a variety of people.
• Make decisions and resolve issues by determining appropriate actions and following up on information.

How do I qualify?

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• You can conduct unit work within high volume environments and fixed deadlines.
• You have the ability to interpret policy, procedures and legislation.
• You have a demonstrated understanding of file structures.

ANALYTICAL AND ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS:

• You can update and retrieve statistical data to identify and correct errors.
• You can determine priorities.
• You can process large volumes of data with a high accuracy level.
